Hidden fascia board

Hi there,

Im after a hidden fascia look below (new build).

Can I just bring fascia board flush with EWI and plaster over both with mesh?

... or should I tac on a 6mm cement board to fascia first?

1. why are you using ewi on a newbuild?

2. take it youll be using 90mm? or there abouts?

i would pland a 3x2 timber where fascia would go. then notch the eps over the timber amd render.then you have a.fixing point for your gutters.

i would however ask nhbc what their thoughts are on it

Would there be much risk of cracking across the two different materials (EPS and cement board)?

Maybe i should be using a high-strength mesh like Panzer across the interface?
