Hi guys! Posted 8 months ago with some work images and was hoping someone might be interested in the help. Here’s how I’ve improved!

Title says it all, but I remember posting here asking if there’s anyone who might need a lift in the Manchester area. Maybe a day or two a week. You all seem decent people so I thought you might be interested in giving me some pointers on my work and if you’re around Manchester and need a lift, giving me a shout. In that space of time I’ve sold my car, got a decent van, completed some huge jobs on my own and got a lad working with me. I know that you guys have years more experience than me, but to be honest I’ve got so much work I don’t know what to do with myself. If your up for showing me some of the stuff I don’t know, critiquing my work and helping me improve - I’m happy to share it. I’m want to be the cleanest, quickest and have the best finish. Anyway here’s some new pictures. If you think I’ve done something badly, let me know. Cheers,
Josh.

I don’t care who’s qualified and who’s not anymore think about your own life and make the dollars whilst you can! All the real plasterers are retired or nearly retired or dead! With live in a I’m alright jack kinda world these days multi traders everywhere plasterers working for peanuts. My advice is no one cares about your business or pictures of your work just get on with it do ya own things and f**k everyone else if you f**k somebody’s place up it’s your problem not mine! (y) welcome back:rock:

Fair play to you! Looks pretty tidy in a quite short space of time, I’m sure you’ll be flying in a few years. Nice and tidy

In the 7th and 8th pictures it looks like dowelings you’ve skimmed round? If that’s the case and customers want to keep them I’d dig them out and leave them exposed rather than skim over them as they will crack and it’ll look neater. All the best to you

The fact that some of you think I want my ego stroked must be a good thing ;) I’m not here for compliments. I’m here for criticism. I’ve got a few questions if that’s ok? I always struggle plastering to coving on ceilings (like the ceiling on the picture where the fireplace is yet to be painted) it looks good, just takes me a bit longer, any tips? Also, I have been lingering on buying a dewalt cordless mixer for a few weeks. What do you reckon? Worth it? Oh & @malc What do you mean?

I'll see your two pints of Guinness and raise you a story.

On my way back from the bank this afternoon there was a particularly savage hailstorm so I took refuge in the pub and ran into a woman who'd done a half Elvis last night and woke up locked in.

Of course she had nothing to do but drink until the staff turned up this morning and she paid for her drink...and then kept drinking.

And she took a shine to me but she was drunk and I was on lunch.

Now she wasn't a hipppocroackapig or indeed a monstrasaurus

But I explained that I have a far better offer. Thanks but no thanks.
