We've had some essential structural repairs completed on our home and then rendered using FassaCouche weve been left with a terrible finish that we just cant live with.

It's that bad I'm not sure I am prepared to let the original renderer back on site. The rep has recommended 6mm bead and reapply. However post guys local refuse to use Fassa and would want to use parex or weber.

Is it possible to apply one brand over another?
Thanks

refusing to use fassa I’d not get them to work on your house as render is render it’s all the same really just the setting times are longer with fassa . Prime and 6 mm beads is fine but make sure you see some work from who ever does it this time ..

6mm mono over mono is not going to work but 10mm will over a primer.

It sounds like they are suggesting a 6mm thin coat system that will work if the existing is fairly flat finished in a silicone. All the render manufacturers do a thin coat system and they will all work, but get someone who knows how to get their work flat and can get a good finish on silicone.
check also if they can rub up silicone as some will only spray textured finish.

is it worst render week or.something.... this is the 3rd one on here.

please upload some pictures

as rigsby says 6mm may nit cut it if mono looks that bad.

if fassa is used originally id stick with fassa.
ive used their thincoat and its nice gear
