Hi people, I'm Roger. I've been in the building trade for 10 years, I'm slowly becoming a plastering enthusiast, I'm probably going to be asking more questions/opinions rather than answering/giving them but hopefully one day this will be the other way round for other newbies! Hope you are all well :)

Hey, yeah read quite a few of the threads, there's some great stuff. I'm based in Lancashire. I've mainly done skimming and cement rendering, just recently been using parex monorex too. How about yourself...?

Welcome to Tpf roger is that you in your avatar pic and what are you spraying with the hand hopper?
Hi, thank you :) Yes it is, I'm spraying parex monorex in a tyrolean finish. I don't suppose you or anyone knows a good way of making a roughcast finish with a similar kind of render for one of my own projects...? I've also recently purchased a hopper gun that runs on a diesel compressor too if that would be any good...?

There are some good videos on YouTube of rough cast type finish with a machine And through coloured renders,I have as yet only done rough cast the old fashioned way,one of the full time renderers will be able to help @Rigsby @owls and the pft chaps as it could have been one of their videos I have seen.

Hi Roger
I am not actually a spread.... I am a representative of one of the Forums sponsors - Knauf

I specialise in the Knauf Aquapanel products, particularly the Exterior render carrier board - see links to the brochures below.

I am a time served engineer and am based in Northants

Good luck going forwards!

Richard

Ian Jones has a youtube vid of spraying roughcast.
Ah yes I've seen this, also a member called goody has a similar video I think? Is this basically what people are calling 'tyrocast'...? Is this too thick for renderboard application?

This is my own project that I want to insulate externally then board and render with a roughcast finish :)
