Hi.
I have a external garden wall that was rendered and painted years ago.
I am looking to freshen up as landscaping my garden.
I have jet washed the wall and removed moss and lose paint etc, the paint on the existing render is flaking and come off in clumps in areas, should i sand this down before covering with Screwfix Blue Pre Grit below

FEB FEBOND BLUE GRIT PRIMER BLUE 15.9KG (138HT)

, also how do people find this product.

Any help advice would be great as a total novice, however i have plastered internal walls so i assume its the same but heavier to use?

You can’t use blue grit externally for rendering if you have quite abit of area to do then use rendagrip,if not will be cheaper to do a sbr slurry
