Hi, new member here 
We are renovating a house built in 1920. Some of the rooms have been plastered with lime plaster by the previous owners, but it looks as though they have then painted them using standard emulsion.
What do we do now? We can't afford to strip/replaster. Do we redecorate using breathable paint, or just use standard emulsion. We would like to encourage as much 'breathability' as possible because of the age of the house, etc.
