Hardwall or s/c??

Iv taken the tiles off in my bathroom and most of the old s/c has stayed and is solid bar afew bits. I want to level it out

Effin phone!! Worst place will be 10mm thick should I just go over with s/c or Hardwall to build it out?

I would use a backing plaster just for ease of mixing etc etc

Sand cement would be better in damp ish rooms , thats if even the existing is sand cement and not just lime ....

if its a single skin external wall then s&c should realy be the way mate...if cavity up to you realy hardwall/browning or boards...fill yer boots!!!

Internal breeze with cavity no damp issues small bathroom so will level out wi Hardwall just need a better surface to tile on. Would you put pva or sbr on original s/c to seal dusty bits? Nice one

If the tiles are been laid in waterproof adhesive, bonding to level out or hardwall will be fine

@Jbeesy718 you shouldn't tile straight over Hardwall/Bonding/Browning, I'd use S & C.
