could you guys recommend a good handdrill to use for boarding & what i'd expect to pay? suppose it's time for me to step away from hammer & clout nails. cheers

Hilti SF5000A 21volt Lithium + SMD 57 collated attachment. Light and quick as f**k. Wrong side of £400 with the VAT.

Im assuming ur talking about Autofeed drywall guns????
Hilti are good, thats what ii use now and have 2 of them,i also have a ryboi whgich is excellent on walls but jams a bit on ceilings!!! but if on a budget try the Ryiobi or the Makita.Apparently the Makitta are very good.
If you dont want auto feed by a 18 v dewalt lithium and use as drill also.

yeah, drywall, just for boarding. it will be a budget 1 i'll be looking for. which is the drill that isn't compatable with different brands drywall screws? remember someone mentioned it to me & said avoid?

you do get wot u pay for. i think i spent £350 for my makita with 2 battery's and a charger but can buy for £140 body only

I got a senco brand new for £129. Its a 110 charger but I still got my old 240v charger.

The only thing I dont like about it is it isnt variable speed trigger.

And another top tip buy senco bits and put them in your normal cordless they last for ever.

I dont know what they made out of but they are harder than supermans underpants!

wheres the senco from and is it 14.4 or 18v

av got three senco's they are the best, i used to use makita but when the screws jam they are a nightmare to fix but the senco is nice n easy to get to an the price aint bad. wen use the cordless to tack up and the 110 to screw every thing up at the end as the battarys aint that long lasting.

It's a 14 mate, and it handles everything I ask of it so I see no reason to go any higher, got it from a local tool shop that has now shut down. I'd try the internet ebay etc.
