Moved to London in 89 a year after I finished my time and was on £ 50 a day cash in hand, the fella I worked for was pricing me out at £ 100, I was still on top of the world though (y)
 
Well thank f**k it’s not 1769, these lads were on an average of 10 bob (50p) for six days work

The last bit is Dieat (diet) which was his food allowance
I saw it on eBay ages ago and bought it £4 bargain.

Cheers Norm that was a good job that, I’m working around the Trough of Bowland at the minute doing a couple of cottages.
 
maths is not my strong point but then jane is an A-Level maths teacher so I dont need to be any good at it :D
