Gardz showing through after 3 coats!

After reading about it somewhere, I used gardz on some overly polished areas after plastering had been completed, and now 3 coats later it's still bloody showing through slightly! I'm using Dulux trade vinyl silk.

Does anyone know why this could be happening? Any point of a fourth coat?

Put a matt on before silk or even better acrylic primer either white or tinted to the desired colour. Silk is poor coverage and oily to apply.
So gardz.
Tinted acrylic primer or just white.
Two top coats of silk...

On walls or ceilings I'd normally use the matt over the entire surface then two top coats but I guess you will need to try the spot first
