Just got back from France, besides being a beautiful place couldn’t help notice the renders , so much variation there fair enough I was staying and visiting more coastal villages and towns but everywhere went noticed seemed to be rendered , lots of different styles and ages , also any site s that I seen having work done seem to be chucking up rockwool ewi systems a lot
A few pictures I took while passing certain places

And this
Anyone know how to get finish like that essentially I thought it’s just roughed up when on but there was a few similar that actually looks like a style they do , what tools would they use to leave like that kind of scraped look

I saw in Marrakech some guys rendering an old wall... alot of the people are French influenced in Marrakech... and the finish was just like the scraped looking one... they seemed to be hurling it on, then kust edging off and a bit of floating...

my son is off to do some sand and cement render to a ski lodge [in winter] mountain bike [in summer] . i am not on this one off on holiday to Croatia.
the cement they use is modified to stand the huge change in climate.

Ive seen similar to this before it’s called Mapping. It’s sprayed on with a Tyrolene gun and the texture is flattened with a trowel.

Thanks mate for info tbf in photo might look a bit rubbish but in real life the style really looked good

I'm a bugger for taking pics of rendering from when I go on hol, it's an occupation hazard I guess, I've been all over over the years.
I remember a few years ago in Cuba it was 40c and they were rendering a gable I went over and starting chatting, interesting how they manage, I picked up a trowel, I was knackered after about 2 minutes, they weren't even breaking a sweat.A skilled renderer over there earnt £8 a day.

Some great rendering in Napier NZ. All Art Deco or modern deco.

I’m in York city atm
Spotted some more classic jobs
Have to say as a whole beautiful buildings more stone here than renders but found a few to share

I was there today at that time, I probably walked past you.
We’ve rendered a few round there, a nightmare logistically, getting in and out of York is a task in its self.
