These are really good Link Removed
yes mateMight have a look at one of them. Got to be better then using my finger and trowel. Is that what you use ?
the way that i was taught. place the square on the reveal, pencil mark, set up a gauge stick, so that the head and the legs all have the same margin. then rule in the upright position in case the frame is bowed.
they would not like the moving finger method!
Never made a gauge stick explain more in detail ??
a gauge stick, a piece of wood about 12 inches long 3 inches wide 1 inch thick. you just drive a nail into the end of the gauge stick in the position where you made the square pencil mark. a nail will stay in the same position where as a finger will move.
I have used these before.... long long time ago mind....
What did you think of it
Rough CantJust use the mk 1 eyeball and a bit of skill..........some right homo's on here using a square etc
completely agree on this ,99% of windows are out of square and thrown in , you have to adapt to situations that arise and make things look equal rather than making a ten bag wall a forty bag wall just because you want equal reveals !Just use the mk 1 eyeball and a bit of skill..........some right homo's on here using a square etc
10 mm stop bead up to the frame all the around with same margin then square a corner bead of the frame inline with the stop bead . Fill in between spot on . That's how I've always done them
Long winded a bit but the jobs spot on everytimeThat's quite a neat idea
Long winded a bit but the jobs spot on everytime
Do you not get it cracking out between the bead & frame?
