First coat after having walls skimmed?

Hi all, i have just had some walls skimmed in my house, i was wondering if i should PVA the finished walls before painting as the plasterer recommended.Or should i water down some matt emulsion.? I have searched Google and there seems to be a mixed opinion, so i though i would ask for some more opinions. Thanks in advance for your help.

Water the first coat down mate. Dont use pva

yup water down teh paint...

The paint needs to get into the plaster not sit on top or it will blister

(thats what I think anyway)

forget all that messing about just get a can of high opacity paint saves all that messing this paint is designed for new plaster
