ive got most things sorted now with the pump but would like to get it to spray consistently.it makes a mad screaming sound and sprays perfect for about 10 seconds then switches to a flat kind of sound like just air coming out of the gun and the render goes thick and peels off the wall then it goes back to good again ive got a brand new clamp R/S on ?sprays so much better when its buzzin
cheers

Do you have a water pump that provides a constant pressure Camnz, you have to iron out all irregularities then you get a constant sound from the spraygun.

Its tempting blones ive come along way the last 4 months having no one to advise me here has been hard sometimes but its coming together, ive tried a water pump but it wouldnt keep constant pressure and the av3000 is out of my price due to the shipping so im just on mains.im running 18mm hose to the pump and the pressure is at 5 bar on the pump gauge when switched off then drops to about 2.5 when going.do you think its water pressure MC?

Thats ok however u would be better off filling a water butt and runnin from that
Always perform a pump test on the rotor and stator before you start rendering with the machine

Get me over there i will save you a packet

think you guys were right pump went spot on for 2 hours then right at the last 15m or so we had to switch off for a minute then it backed up when we started again.turned out it was dry in the bottom pressure plate and when it was cleaned out and running again i noticed the float in the tube had dropped from 400 where we set it in the morning to 320ish? ive already spent $250 on a water pump that didnt work pressure kept dropping even with a one way valve fitted if youve got any ideas blones i can sort it and make shite loads of coin to get you out here

no mate i think im the only person in darwin with a pump?other dealers dont seam to interested because i didnt buy a pump from them. im going to call a water pump dealer here tomorrow and try to find another pump so i can get off mains

set your speed and leave it alone when you start the machine have you water set to the position it stays at during pumping.i.e. 150, 200 or whatever Squirt a bit of water in the chamber until it hits the top of the rotor. Introduce the material gently bentley till the bag is empty. Turn the machine on until your gear is pumping out the bottom at the correct consistency. Wet your pipes and send it through, then add your gun and see if this helped for a trouble free spray.
Often with a Ritmo its the way its been started up

the main things that ever caused me problems with the ritmo were which water input i used, rotor pressure when i first used a clamp and keeping the L bend at the bottom of the rotor clean. run off a barrel with a pump and check your filters and theres not a lot else that can go wrong. and as blones said, its 90% in the startup.

Watch out for kinked hoses too.....compacted mixing chamber in no time. Bone dry hopper and no splashing when you put first bag in. Take a good look when you clean out as to where the gears stuck fast as a indicator of how far up the hopper the water is getting for whatever reason

why does young Mr Hill need to attatch is advert to my posts does he need to suckle on my PFT tits:rolleyes):RpS_biggrin:

well its amazing what you can achive when you listen to people.ive been starting the pump the way im supposed to over the last 3 days and its been unreal sprays perfect and doesnt go wet/dry etc and we can have it set up all day and no blockages cheers everyone.1 more question, how do i stop it switching on randomly we unplug the air from the pump and the motor still turns on by itself ??
