fibres in scratch coat

just used fibres in render scratch coat for the first time, it was horrible to use, looked like a horse had done a cronk on the spot, horrible to spread but once on it seemed ok and hopefully will be less prone to cracking. watch this space.

sounds like you put too much in when used to the right amount you cant tell there in when spreading

the correct mix is 5 buckets of fibres to 1 bucket of gear

Ha ha I just read that link as if we all weigh our mixes it might work out fine if you get bagged render but like most of us using loose sand and cement it aint a option, im with lucius a handful a mix seems to do the trick.

Same with PVA I cant remember ever measuring it out I just bang some in some water and slap it on
