How do fellas?
anyone done one of these Experienced Worker Practical Assessments? Instead of wasting six months with on site assesments to get NVQ 2 and ble cscs card you can have a one day assesment with an NVQ assesser Knowledge and Practical tests and If successful....NVQ and CSCS card are yours , happy days. ;)

Thats how we got our cscs nvq 2. This bloke turned up on the site we were on and took a load of photos of our work. while wearing correct ppe and stuff, the bloke that came out wasnt even a plasterer he was a chippy  what i can remember about the whole process was the paper work you had to sign you name about a thousand times. As for how to sort it, we were working for a big company and they put us through it they told us it cost £600 and they get the money back so it end up cost them nothing.

The best bet to findout who can help you is to contact CITB or CSkills who should be able to put you in contact with thenearest provider offering the OSAT assessment route.

The assessor should be checking that you have been working as a plasterer for a number of years (sorry forgot the amount) and after having a discussion with yourself they should be asking you to undertake a practical assignment if they are unable to witness you doing the task on site.
