barite i think it was called, HEAVY as ****, its like having d*m**o on yer hawk. Its got lead in it. The plaster, not d*m**o

Did an operating theatre and the spec was 1/2 ply on the studs then lead screwed on the ply in 6x4 sheets with 15mm duraline on top then skimmed. The plaster used to be called barite rough plaster, now thisle xray. That is an arse to do it has to be set up with dots so every part of the wall us exactly the same depth. Also depends on the strength of the xray tubes on how thick it goes on brickwork.

I did 2 scanner rooms in preston hospital the walls were battened and ply the lead lined 8x4 plasterboards and skim. it took 2 of us to fit a board heavy as hell
