I got told yesterday using a bigger trowel works your wrist and elbows more! :-\ Now if this is the case i'm wondering why? Anyone can shed some light on this theory would be most helpfull.

Nah...just wears um out quicker :D
 
I would imagine its because you are pushing more area up the wall it makes ligther work using a smaller trowel but you have to find a happy medium i get on with a 13x5 i do use a 14 on float and set only on the roughing then back to the 13 on the finish.
 
I use a 14" for everything is this wrong then just how i was taught and will the inch difference make any difference you think?
 
i used to use a 14 all the time an changed to a 13 and found it alot better, especially my laying on quality
 
It is suprising how much an inch difference makes like when you use a well broken in trowel and a brand new one, a huge difference.
