Eco rend QR1 quartz render

Hi all,

I have a 0.8m heigh x 20m retaining wall constructed in block. Blackjack, clean stone and a dpm at the back, then clay soil. I’m sure some water, some how will still be getting through.

Has anyone used the QR1 quartz system by Ecorend on retaining walls? Any thoughts on whether it stands the test of time?

I haven’t used that gear but I reckon tiles are better for retaining walls. No matter how well the walls are done in any render you can name they all look tired very quickly.

I spoke to eco rend regarding this product yesterday.

It is certainly a better option than silicone or mono.

2 coats of W2, 6mm of FX4 over a green W2 and then finish with the Quartz.

Whilst they assured me it would clean back up I’d probably avoid the white and go for an off white to grey colour.
