i use my stilts on dust sheets ha

Well just remember if ya fall while on ya stilts on dust sheets just throw that dirty riffy manky trowel ;D ;D ;D ;D
cause it'll cut ya somewhere

Ive always used the carpet protector from wickes. Blue for laminate and clear for carpets.

Its good for making walkways through other rooms and ideal for stairs.

Its £10 a roll but it is always priced into the job.

When you pull it up it leaves the carpet cleaner than when you went in.

I only sheet the room I'm working in & maybe the hallway & then I use the blue shoe covers cheap for 100pairs & last ages. Say your working in a bedroom it saves you sheeting the stairs up. Or say your working in a back downstairs room you can just pop em on to use the upstairs bog no need to sheet up everywhere ;D
Plus whenever you knock the door look at the customers eyes they go straight to your big dusty boots ;D
Then just say it's ok I got these blue plastic shoe covers that make me look like a t w a t & they love it ;)

Nisus im glad you have said that because i was looking into getting some of those.

I thought I might look like a right prat turning up in some paper slippers.

I think I might get some of those and give them a go.

I finished work yesterday and went to fit a shower on my way home.

I looked like a right dirty bugger in my plastering kit but there was nothing I could do about it.

Get some mate screwfix do em etc..
Like you say customer laughs at first but they love it really as your protecting their carpets etc.
Saves sheeting up everywhere or taking boots off which I hate!! 2 seconds to pop em on & keep em in pocket ;D

Thats it mate you have sold them to me.

Ill be paying screwfix a visit tomorrow.

I just hope you dont start another thread tomorrow saying " I just told some daft funker to get some paper slippers and he only went and bought some!! "
