Speaking to the brother in law today about work ,hes a good painter, he showed me photos of the plastering on his job after its been painted with the sun hitting the walls and its a disgrace, its durafinish over hardwall, ive heard of it put never used it, its for high impact areas i think ,he said the site agent is blaming the painters for not bringing it to his attention before they paint !

its horrible stuff we've tried sponging and all sorts how ever it comes of the trowel thats how it stays you can see every trowel line

Durafinish is a strange product. You have to mix it wetter than multi then leave for 5 mins before mixing again before using. Then if you want to put it on backing coats you have to apply Gyprime to the backing coat even if well keyed!
Its very gooey but you can still achieve a flat paintable finish if you make sure your first and second coats are neat and flat.
