Is that 100 percent safe.
We did a job and customer used this blue pint stuff. Might of been for.tiling but dot stuck to it mint
Drywall will stick to anything as you know and definitely painted walls as long g as there not flaking off
 
Not saying it can't be done. I'm just saying the paint is the weakest link, so it's a risk.
All plastering is a risk on paint and other shite substrates I.e pva on artex ceiling or floating on stock brick nothing gs 100% guaranteed I've seen skim delamination on fresh boards it is what it is
 
silk/gloss paint best off using rendagrip or Bostik do a renderers stabilizing primer.... better than the plasterers one and it's actually in their specs to use that on gloss paints
 
You can’t guarantee it because you’re hoping that the paint is stuck to the wall that will carry the weight. If I was doing it I’d also use nailable plugs as a secondary fix to give me a bit of peace of mind. BG can’t say it’s acceptable because of the unknown factors.
