Hoping for some advice, recently had an extension built and whilst we did it had the whole downstairs of our house damp proofed with a Newton 800 series damp proof membrane.
The damp proof guys plastered the front room and the hallway and we have painted those and all come out good however in the back room where the builders have done the extension they replastered and we now have spots showing through the paint work where the dot and dab is.
Both plasterers used dot and dab and we waited just as long to paint both rooms so not sure why we have an issue in one room not the other.
Seems to be on both internal and external walls and it has now been over 3 weeks and marks are still there (couple of pics attached)
Builders are saying these will just dry out although we might have to go over the paint work with a stain blocker but our concern is the builders have actually done something wrong? Will the dots really just dry out if we leave them longer? How long is reasonable?
Any advice would be appreciated!
