Dodgy Mono????????

been passing a barn conversion everyday since the weekend on our way to work and they have been rendering the blockwork with mono. Passed by tonight on our way home and you can see the shadow of the block work showing through the mono...Just was curious why this would happen. any ideas lads??????

Just seen them pumping it on in the morning then rubbing it up when we passed to go home.

You see the joints when you get it on sometimes they'll probably go away

should have put lanko latex in the first pass this stops shadowing

mesh wont hide ghosting, they will probably have to put a thincaost over the top

The joints might have been wet and/or they've ruled it a bit thin. Should dry out but if it's visible after each bit of rain then it's probably too thin.

It was pissing down on the way home 2night and the mono looked worse so you might be right

also if in doubt give the substrate a coat of micro prior.

Al let you all know next time i pass if they are hacking it all off and the plasterers crying into the water butt...........

leave a note for them "dodgy mono fixed" then sell a thincoat over the top
