The basic physical disciplines, control of muscle,hand and eye, learned in childhood can be developed in many different ways. The skills of a craftsman and techniques are gained through specially designed training. The disciplines of handling tools and apparatus, working in a team, keeping rules, working with the regard for the nature of materials and to satisfy an employer or custormer. Some abandon an objective because they find a discipline is too difficult or boring for others the desire to excel, to express themselves or to keep a job makes the effort worthwhile.
