Decent plastering shops in Ireland

Any Irish lads on here know of any decent places to buy plastering gear especially any place that sells Refina stuff? There is one okay shop here in Galway that sells some of the Nela and superprof stuff but that is about it. Usually buy my gear online from a couple of places up north

Buy in UK , always works out cheaper and esp with the exchange rate at the min. If your on about cauelfields in Galway, they aren't cheap IMO.

Are yas busy in Galway?

Caulfields are useless for plastering gear and are very expensive alright, no there is a small hardware store called o'tooles just off eyre square who are the only ones with any sort of selection. Would like to be able to go into a place though and compare the different brands, wouldn't mind driving as dublin but armagh and carndonagh are a bit too far. Busy enough in Galway but mostly site work, only really picked up this year though

No decent shop that I know of in Kildare.McQuillans in Dublin used to be good but it's a few years since I've been there.I get a few bits and pieces from Mc Loughlins hardware in Carndonagh, they do a delivery service.

Since we're not aloud to talk about money, would ya get 175-200 boiled eggs a day wink wink  in Galway. Was down doing stone work private work but wasn't plastering. There was one or 2 I knew last year working there but they are in England now so don't know what's getting paid. Just curious to know because have enough work on mayo to last me until spring and don't really need to go down again

I thought it was potatoes and not boiled eggs the irish got paid in:)

Just read the therad there is no shop in Ireland that has a good selection of plastering tools like ramboo tools or plasterers one stopshop.

I'd say the money is s**t in Galway.

Find it hard myself to pick up anything in a shop. Most of my stuff has come of the Internet. Would love to walk into a shop in Ireland dedicated primarily to plasterers.

Already in the pipeline mate. Let me know if you fancy it

I fancy it and am not joking.
Don't want to be on the tools anymore I have 8 sets of plans for work in the van this week and I haven't even looked at them. Don't mind doing small bits of spraying but that's about it.

Day work is about 150 a day for outside work and insides are price work so most lads make around 200 or so when on price but we are all subbies. Hear stories of other sites where lads are only getting 100 a day though. Yeah I have used McLoughlins a bit and they do have a great selection of tools but obviously couldn't be arsed driving 5 hours to the north of donegal. Tfortools are good in Armagh but again too far away to go just for a look, will check out ramboo as well.Would be brilliant if P1ss opened a shop over here

If things go to plan I'll be off the tools by xma

Yep, doing my nominated person course which basically puts me in charge of teams of guys as we turn the electric off for other teams to work on. Course is on 7th November for two weeks then I've got to get mentored till I know what I'm doing
