I'd say don't rush into it. Most so called plasterers do, without the full knowledge of how damp work works,ie causes, effects and solutions. I'm not talking flood water damage, but the actual damp problem. Those people who were flooded didn't have damp, just got water damage. Damp work prevention is a science, I believe.
