D42 clamp r&s setup?

Wanna have a fiddle with me new d42 clamp r&s today. Can somebody explain how to set it up with the pressure tester. Is it a bit hit and miss getting it to ten bar first of all or is there a number of turns of the middle nut after initial bite to get roughly around ten then the other two to follow? Cheers chaps

Your on the right tracks mat doesn't matter if it's not exectly 10 bar but I wouldn't do it any less

Pretty much , they take a little bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of them it's a piece of piss

what i do Darren is tighten up the middle bolt until its pinch well and then a half a turn, bring the rest of the bolts until pinched and then test, if it needs more tightening then do the middle a couple of turn and then the top and bottom. You also need to leave the pressure for a couple of min to see if it drops away.

havnt used d42 for a while but used to wind clamp up so its 50mm apart at its widest point , that used to be roughly there then tweek it with tester
