Got back last Saturday. From a 7 night cruise around Italy. It pissed down and was cold .ship up and down. We had to buy rain coats . I day sun bathing out of 7 days. but we had a good time eating drinking . Good entertainment. A bit like a floating care home. We spent a few afternoons in the cabin playing hide the sausage. Then we spent 4nights in Majorca hotel not very sunny but lovely place , st Vincent Bay ,I think. Near Palencia. Won't be doing a cruise next year its just to busy. 1800 people . But was a nice rest .no kids etc. We both had stinking colds I think it was from all those old coffin dodgers . :endesacuerdo: morrela cruises ,tui . Just thought I'd mention it. Xx

Never will I ever consider cruise holiday, would rather stay at home tbf. Glad you enjoyed it though.
I kind of get more rest of activity holidays than like seat around the pool holidays for some reason, maybe less time to think about work etc.

My ol man just got back from a Caribbean cruise. He wasnt keen with it but said he enjoyed. Hes in his late 70s so hes not into just sitting around a pool on the normal run of the mill type hols so was a change for him.

Yes I can see it's not for everyone. I don't mean to be unkind but I think old people with health problems like it because they look after them, and there's lifts everywhere so they just stay on the ship. But I got fed up looking at big fat lazy buggers stuffing there faces, no wonder they have health problems, tons of them were 4or 5 stone over weight, they didn't stop eating , I think the UK must be getting close to the USA , 50 % obesity. Theyroid problem my arse . :aburrido:

I took my wife's parents up to the cemetery last week. Where they used to live. They are both 86 .my wife walked her dad down to his parents grave. They were 90 and 93. When they died. 15 years ago.He said to her I wished they still lived at their old house. . He has gone on and on since they died that he didn't do enough for them. He was round there all the time. And lived 100 yards away. Silly old duffer. :endesacuerdo:

Been on a few, it was expensive 20/25 years ago and the age group was high.
Enjoyed the ones where your at sea overnight and dock in a different place every day then you can go ashore ,but then you have to fly and suffer the airports
Wasn't keen on multiple days at sea cruises but you get on in Southampton and its hassle free.
Much bigger ships now and thousands of passengers but its made it a relatively cheap holiday.
Rather go to the coast in this country for short breaks at the no kid hotels these days!

Not many people actually live at a cemetery, why did they move.

The worst is when you see fat kids around 8 years old...maybe some of them have issues but most of the parents are overweight.

Kids have such a high metabolism and burn off fat so quickly it's crazy to see when they are fat...I don't think it's anything new I remember when I was a school there were quite a few fat kids...some of them lost it later.

Problem is the diet they have can give them long term health issues.

In the most deprived areas of the country, the business that are thriving are the takeaways. Because they can't be assed to cook.
