Covering Artex ceiling with EasyFill

You can use filler on a ceiling if u want there's no law against it, but it's a bit like a surgeon stitching an open wound with liquorice laces it doesn't work

FINALLY! This does make sense and I had not considered it.
Thanks!
I once went to a job where the fella had the same bright idea.

'Sure, anyone could be a plasterer', he beamed, splodging jointing compound on tge wall with his brand new B&Q trowel.

Then he couldn't get it flat because that's not what it's for so when he tried to sand it, it all ended up on the floor and it still looked an abortion.

It's only for little tiny areas that you can basically screed with the trowel.

If you're determined not to use a spread, then joint and tape it.

Leave it as is. Buy a wide brim hat. Resist any urge to look up. There, advice I’d say…………

But more seriously, buy some lovely smooth flat plasterboards, any size you like except for plank. fix them over the curly swirly artex, carefully tape the joints……..then use a smidgin of joint filler applied to a smooth finish, and then merely pass a sanding block over. Decorate to suit and revel in a warm smug feeling…….
