mark your coving as you normally would, then that sits in the coving and the little tail at the bottom should match up with your mark. then lean the saw against the side of it and cut the angle. it does the small and large coving

yeah thats why you need to learn to scribe oasis. f**k cutting every angle differently. tonys put pictures up so pop down b and q before it closes. get yourself a small length. and do some practicing. its not hard.

Thats what i use as well a lot of people cant get on with them but i think they are faster ans easier.

Yeh tony there 5hit mate, you want the metal one i've had mine years & it's still got it's shape.

I need to get one by fri. what would anyone recommend. Bare in mind I have to pick it up from say bnq or screwfix.

in that case get the artex one from been and qued and learn to scribe the coving mate

You can cut any angle without a mitre box!
Say for example 22.5degrees just cut cove to length or use an off cut.
Then offer up coving to ceiling draw a pencil line on top edge of cove
then do same on next piece joining up to it.
So you'll have 2 pencil marks on ceiling now mark a
pencil line from the corner of wall to the crossing of the lines on the ceiling.
Then offer up 1 of the lengths of cove and mark top
edge where the last mark you just made then it can be cut free hand :-\
I think :'(
oh s**t I think I'm p1ssed :-X

Just measure your projection of the top or bottom of your coving depending weather its an internal or external angle ,hold and cut at a 45 angle and bobs your uncle ;)

no problems mate. i only tried to explain it though, tony took the time to take and upload the photos. you'll get better and quicker everytime.
