Your going to be very disappointed then!! All that will happen and is happening is white people think there being turned on and those statues of churchill mean a great deal for what our parents and grandparents went through!! I'm telling ya that statue will never fall!!!! And that feeling you got ain't revolution it's anger from ordinary people who are about to fookin snap.....

Churchill statue will never come down. My grandfather was at Dunkirk, remember talking to him about it, very proud. Even though I'm a socialist I wear a poppy and am at remeberance Sunday in pangbourne every year. I will still debate Churchills dark side too though because it's fact and not pleasant reading. It's nuanced, you don't have to pick a side and blinker everything else out, I like to look at the whole picture. But I will always fight for the downtrodden.
 
This is nothing to do with racism, it is political dark forces both left and right wing causing division as always.
They are doing a fine job of it too judging by comments on here.

No mate I got to disagree this has been happening for years!! We built the uk up from nothing after the start of the industrial revolution!! Then word spread of a social system put in place to safeguard workers who lost their jobs or could not work through injury etc, but it has been abused by every tom dick and harry coming here, not to mention mandatory dole scroungers who can't get the bed off their back!! You know your wayne and waynettas!!
We have been to soft as a country and kindness is seen as a weakness!!!

It’s so obvious. A harmony was being created with the lockdown. People really looking out for each other, checking on elderly neighbours, helping each other where we could. People re evaluating their lives and It was bringing communities together again.
Couldn’t be having that could we. Powers that be say, let’s get everyone at each others throats again! Problem solved.

I’m not sure why they’re calling for Robert Peels statues to be demolished. He was prime minister twice. Some of his views would be considered backwards now but he was basically a founder of the conservatives and he created the police force.

His father was against the abolition of slavery but junior was only a teenager.

Regardless I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to deface or destroy public monuments.

They’ve taken ‘gone with the wind’ film off streaming sites now apparently. I dunno...

Problem with all of this is ...
Using today's standards to judge and pass sentence on the past..
The main thing is that it ended and things changed ..
Chucking coulston in the water won't change history

It is all to do with removing Trump.
The statue situation is organised by the Stop Trump Coalition. Also the BLM Movement was imported from America.

It won't change history, but it's got people talking and learning about the FULL story. African proverb "until the lion learns how to write, every story will glorify the hunter"
