My MT is getting a build up on it, again! I just had a thought about soaking it in Coke! That stuff strips everything ans even disolves teeth lol

I'm gonna try my coke theory tomorrow. Aparently the stuff is great for cleaning ya bog aswell. You should try it JJ It might disolve those turds that stick oot the water!

If it's a stainless trowel then mix a strong solution of sugar soap and water let it soak over night and hey presto.

I give up on cleaning my trowel i did it about a week ago on daywork and its caked up already just gotta live with it.

I always keep my tools spotless a good sign of professionalism turn up wearing clean clothes too :-)

Never seen the need to keep the top of ya trowel clean, mine looks well and truly used to say the least, handles mouled to me hand now with multifinish too ;)

You must be kidding Free a trowel works completely differently when it's back is kept clean, so much better.

You are probably right Andy but Ive not ever done it so used to it not being clean! fat build up just gets on ******* everything, so never bothered trying to get round it!

This is so true, i always leave my ss trowels and tools in my skimming bucket filled with water every night, keeps the bucket spotless and my tools like surgical steel...completely differernt to use...

Clean tools are a must!

Bout once a month. Cleaning it makes NO difference :RpS_thumbup:

Cleaning the skimming bucket helps though, especially after mixing bonding in it

Thats why I dont ever mix bonding in me skimming bucket anymore, sets round the edges almost immediately! gorilla tub for that s**t!
