Cleaning refina sponge

Does anyone have any tips on cleaning the refina sponges off I’m getting tiny bits of set plaster in the holes which are coming out when I’m using it

I clean mine with jet wash , hold it far back with one hand and sponge in the other , it gets all the crap out with out damaging the sponge
Use the dirt blaster attachment not the straight line spray end

Sorry just read the op , that’s only when using ocr I never use sponge on plaster
