Might be doing an old stairwell thats been stripped back to random rubble walls, Also its circular going up three flights (starting at the bottom and going up to the left). Was thinking about doing it in Hardwall and finishing in dura finish. Its got scaffolding up all 3 flights and its going to be a fecking pain in the arse. Other problem is because at some points the scaffolding is that close to the wall we can't get a straight edge in the gap! All suggestions will be more than welcome! (apart from feck this i'm off, which is top of the list at the mo!)

Sounds like you have your work cut out there mate, glad it it aint me :) When you say the wall is all ruble do you mean its stone work? if it is i would scratch it in sand and cement to save on materials then just hardwalls and set next day, as for the featheredge have you tried a finishing spatula? refina do a 24 inch one and its great for tight areas heres a link Link Removed

Building is probably about 150 years old, walls look similar to a sandstone wall but is made up of random sized bits of rubble. Tnhing it might take 3 coats to try and get it level before the finish. Not looking forward to this one!
