I'm looking at getting myself a small van to get around in and carrying my tools, I'm a novice so not many at all just the wife don't want me messing her car! I have always rated Astravans . They are quite cheap to run and easy to get parts for if they go wrong. Not to steep on the insurance. The only downside is you cant get too many materials in them , but great size for just carrying your tools around in.

I paid £250 for my escort van... I found £38 in pound coins in it but the van had a bit of panel damage but I sorted that out and all I spent on it was a clutch, cam belt renewal and general servicing...
I put it in storage for a year while I was travelling come back and the garage roof had collapsed and caused a bit of damage but the biggest issue was getting my private plate off as it had not had tax or mot for 2 years...lol
Rookie mot later my plate was off and the Van was on the back of a truck going to the scrappy and i got £150 for it Must of had it 6 years? God knows...lol
