Chasing copper pipes

just a quick question guys,I'm chasing two copper radiator pipes into a wall,do I have to tape them up first? and before skimming over what would be the best undercoat to use browning,bonding or sand &cement cheers

Keep the radiators off

Use Dri-wall adhesive as your backing first over pipes....will resist heat far better and less chance of cracking

you should be careful with plastering straight over copper pipes, most of the time they are left on the outside of a solid block wall and boxed in,
copper gas pipes are more often chased in the wall and covered in hessian lagging.
