spunky do you mean the centres for counter battens to fix a carrier board give a bit more info a would look at manufactureres recomendations anyway mate

Dont know if the same applies, but just done some insulation and the stud work was at 450 centres then counter battened at 600 centres ???

Can you not just counter batten your centres equally out to your boards,as theres not much give in them ? if that makes sense, save on any wastage.

Thanks for that Paul were doing a job at the min and the owners pretty much done it all himself and there was a couple of 600 centres and the boards were a bit flexy, anyway while were on the subject lol with the mesh beads do you put them up before or after you do the full mesh?

easier to put em on before spunk if time allows cos you don't push em around when spatting although you would mesh on same day if needed. Keep a box of stainless staples for a quick mechanical fix here and there

Cheers mate was thinking of staples is normal ones a deffinate no go er ? Were doing a tight coat mesh then tight one over the top and sponge just a bit paranoid about there's bugger all arris on the mesh beads and would it be better going ontop of the full mesh coat But then like you say when the beads are up you want to be sponge coating and the beads'll move

just bed em on with your addy mate nice and tight , then mesh over the top , never used staples my self , but i am not saying it's incorrect , just never had too use em
If you staple them do you aim for the bead like skim beads or close but on the mesh?
