Depends on the era you were born in I guess.
I'm 40 so the fast fords like the xr2 and xr3 are a tad before my time. I was a teen in the late 90s so the escort cosworth was the first one for me in my era.
I bought myself one totally standard no mods, some years ago for 20 grand, didn't really drive it, it was a weekend car, sold it a few years later at profit. The same ones are now going for 50 grand....
I then bought a BMW m5 500bhp genuinely frightning to drive.

an old bmw 3i bought from southampton car auctions for £100,,calipers were held on with cut nails,,,its in a book called gangland Britain outside HA clubhouse in Reading,,many police visits ensued

I didn't own a Micra ,but bought 2 when the kids started driving. .now I want one to run about in . Drive it to the pub get pissed and leave it there for a week. my mate lost his mark 4 cortina once pissed . Found it when he went passed a pub on the upstairs of a bus . Was in rear car Park. Happy days .

They flew as well . A mate had a 2.1 cavalier Sri. That flew as well
I like most of the hot hatches on offer, but stuck with these 19 years and had this one 12 of them. I don’t race or get baited, it quick/fast and there’s no need to prove it.
