Can I just use sbr over all surfaces on a full house reskim? Instead of blue grit?

Hi I know blue grit is designed for smooth low suction backgrounds, but I find it eats the gear and isn't as easy to plaster over as sbr is, could I just use sbr on all these surfaces ( existing plaster, painted walls, internal render and bonding?)
