So I bite the bullet 2 months ago and buy a newer van from a dealer, not brand spanking but low miles with a years warranty. Within 6 weeks I’m booking it in for warranty work- new turbo, new seatbelt, new valves in some eco filter, already a bit f**k*d off but to top it off the w**k*r moving the van smashes it straight into another car in front of me!! So now I am without it longer and their answer is ; well we will give you a hire van. Am I being a dick to think that that isn’t bloody good enough?

Modern vans are crap pal!! Over engineered to fail common rail engines are wank to say the least!!, old vans went forever
Totally agree. If I didn’t live close to London I would buy an old shape transit, apart from rust they were brilliant. Was in wales last week and seeing people with old vans more commonly in the sticks and they still going strong
