Evening lads, quick question - does dri-wall adhesive stick to steels ? I've noggined out the sides and left an inch or so overhanging so I can screw the underneath length of board into them but was going to put a dollop of dri wall to the underneath aswell - Whats the best way to board them ?? Cheers

I'd either use tek screws to fix battens or a hilti gun to shot fire them on, then board as usual. I stick board to lintels but generally wba them first.

c10 that stuff sticks anything to anything....even underwater......but as tony said have used gypsum bondit/wba to make key then use drywall adhesive which worked...takes a while to go off only down side

isnt gripfill just the best i use tonnes of the stuff ,i agree with tother guys just remember to use a fire board or double up your boards

I just use gripfill for board onto steel, put on the board in 'S' shapes covering the board putting it to the steel then taking board away then wacking it back to the steel seems to grab better then !
