i was driving past a new lidl currently being built and they've used the terracota type square blocks, i've only ever seen them used in portugal. why would they use them and not normal breeze blocks?

there doing a new lidi near me and its sand and cement finish and the even bring there own cement from germany the dont use faceing blocks here because the have to do what ever counsil say which is normally s and c finish or mono

the other lidls in cov have concrete block finish i think
