Bideford grit in a NHL render mix?

Evening all. Has anyone had any experience using Bideford grit in a NHL mix? Will it need other sands mixed with it to fill voids etc?

Yes it does work! Worth putting half bucket of pit sand in with it to make it less of an arm breaker.
