I have use more then 60 bags of BAUMIT DUOCONTACT adhesive,great external adhesive if you need to fit fibre glass mesh on the cracked render or on polystyrene insulation boards.On top of that you can apply silicone or acrylic coloured render.( after priming of course).
I will use Baumit again

Lime render, exspensive too. Nice to use if you're not in a rush.

i have used their gypsum /lime one coat , is a german or austrian company...the whole range for sale in diy stores out there (did have english instructions).
not seen for sale in uk though
