Bathroom advice

Hi team,
Can I have some advice on this small bathroom? The door has been boarded up. The scratch coat is still there on a third of the wall. Would you guys ‘dot dab’? The wall or would your repair what I there and skim? Thanks in advance.

If you patch and skim, It will most likely crack where the timber door frame has been left in.

If it is going to be tiled i would batten and line with tile board or similar if it is just decorated then dab boards and skim.

my notes usually have an arrow pointing somewhere saying
"sorry chris".

Dot and dab defo . Around door standard plaster may crack down the line of the wood ..better finish and easier in long run

bare PB can take greater weight per square metre than skimmed. Can be important with large format porcelain tiles etc. Wet areas, better with backer board.
