BAL WP1 Waterproof Coating

Hi

Advice needed please.

Got a quote a render job and specification says:

sand and cement render with trowelled finish with BAL WP1 waterproof coating or similar.

Question 1. Does a trowelled finish mean i cant float it off afterwards as normal?

Question 2. BAL WP1 waterproof coating. is that just a normal waterproof additive?

I think it means render with smooth finish. ie. float finish rather than scratched (devil floated).

BAL WP1 is a tanking system that you can brush on, never used it though.

Is it a bathroom or toilet area?
