The sciatica is off your lower back trouble nick, but the pains in your shoulder and neck are usually unrelated which means you've probably had a stroke and might possibly die before reading this.......it's a tough world mucka:RpS_crying:

No it's true my mates grandad died of sciatica he was diagnosed and passes away in his sleep

isnt that what ciders for??

what is it?

Try this one nick (at your own risk blah blah blah):

Stand at the bottom of the stairs and put one foot on the 1st step, then bend forward from the hip as far as you can, allowing your knee to flex too and trying to touch your head to your knee. Do this about 6 -10 times and then do the same with the other foot. If that is easy(and it should be!) go back to the starting position and then place your foot on the 2nd step and proceed to bend forward as described. Then try it on the 3rd step. If you can do it on the 4th/5th step you are danny, also there is fkall wrong with you:RpS_thumbup:

Last time my back went on me it took about half an hour to get to the bathroom and each step was more agony than the last. I told my lass that I couldn't make it to the bog so I was gonna use the sink. You should have seen her face when I asked her for the toilet paper:RpS_crying:

touch tens unit

TENS stands for trascutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. tens is a highly effective method of stimulating the bodys own defences against pain by transmitting gentle electrical impulses through the skin via adheisive pads. the gentle electrical signals attack the pain in two ways either by helping the body to release endorphins, the bodys natural painkillers, or by blocking the pain messages before the reach the brain. well worth the money nick

The thing is they dont cure the heart of the problem same as painkillers so i feel you can do more damage relying on things that prevent pain as that is the bodies warning that something is wrong so there is a good chance you could make matters worse.

My advice would be to see a different Chiro. I have a form of Spondilitis in my back and some days actually cant move. I get Sciatica too but when I come out of my Chiro I feel like a new man.Did your Chiro not refer you to your doctor to see what the problem with your disc was?Hope you get it sorted mate. Andy

I suffer my self and it aint nice, had it recently and was out of work for a week my bloody doctor gave me ibuprofen and rennies as i told him i was getting bad indigestion didnt really do anything, all he told me was to keep moving but i could barely move at all without going into a spasm of pain...... hope it gets better nick cant pay bills resting :-(

Nick I suffered on and off for a couple of years. Went to a chiro twice a week for about 6 weeks and its sorted. Best thing I've ever done. If I ever think its gonna twinge again I just do some of those stretches.

i think the next step is to see the doctor. they said about possibly getting a scan
Don't leave the docs till he's refered you for a scan. They don't like doing it cos it costs money. It took 6 years of me complaining to get my scan, and only then because I got a new Quack. I was always fobbed off with declofienac. If it shows up nothing at least you know its nothing major but get it checked.
