Don,t you find the girl friend gets in the way or do you put them on the mixer :RpS_wink:No the teens cannot handle the graft and the cold. Had loads in the 90's. I find 21 year olds with a pregnant girlfriend in toe has more to offer. Probably been a loser for his youth and now wants to get his act together. Stronger at 21 too.

:RpS_lol:Well a pregnant girlfriend motivates the las to get his act together but then I think of 2 lads I had who after losing a nights sleep to a screamy baby they would not turn up for work. So thinking about it perhaps a 21 year old with a 2 year old and had the snip.
The lad I used to work with encouraged his lads to get in debt to motivate them, my brother in laws a chippy he pays his lad 20 quid a day the rest is subsidised on an apprentaship I tthink we've got a 17 year old and he nearly couldn't get on site because apparently due to new h+s you can't do heavy lifting before you're 18
I took my son on as an apprentice through citb. I ended up phoning every other week regarding the grant money and train fares i was promised. I only ever received part of what I was entitled to and took him off the scheme after 8months.The day after I received calls from 3 different people people, 1 apologising, 1 passing the buck and the other saying that unfortunately the funding was not yet in place but i should get some money by the end of the first year. This was my experience but should anyone doubt me they are welcome to view their e-mails.Anybody had an apprentice through citb? What grants do they give?
Reluctant to go through the youth training again as they usually give up but may consider it.
