I have a large job im quoting to remove old existing render, hollow and allowing water penetration , and im going to replace with probably parex monorex render. Now, will i need to apply a base product over the old brickwork before applying the render or will a good stiff brush over the bricks to remove dust etc be suffice?

the best thing is to get their reps out, supposed to be great people to deal with..

FYI

If we hack off - we always fully mesh with a base scratch coat using a polymer if poss such as hp12 or parmurex with lankolatex innit

You can mix the mono with their lankolatex or sbr and tyrolean it on. Hell of a key and stabilises background. Hose it all down first and fire away. Ideally you want to use tv10 mesh in scratch and top over that. Bead up after tyro

cheers, with the monogris im assuming thats similar to the weber rend aid. Does it work out around the same price per metre roughly?
